Alena Holmes, Ph.D.
Instructor and Music Education Consultant
Alena is an associate professor and the Coordinator of Music Education at University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. She is also a founder of Music Creativity Laboratory where she teaches earlychildhood music, voice, piano, modern band, composition and songwriting classes. Originally from Belarus, Alena Holmes started her career in her native country where she taught general music, choir, music theory and piano, worked as a musician and singer with popular bands and concert organizations and had numerous appearances on popular Belarusian TV and radio shows. She then worked as a music teacher, singer and musician in China, Bahrain, Italy and Florida. An active teacher, clinician, researcher and musician, Dr. Holmes has given over 60 presentations and published over 20 articles in multiple national and international journals. In addition to her research and teaching, Alena Holmes is a singer and songwriter performing in educational, professional, and community contexts throughout US.
A graduate of Madison Media Institute, Chad Canfield earned an Associate of Science in Recording and Music Technology in May of 2016. Upon his graduation, Chad held the title of Student Council President and maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout his college career. Chad has been involved in the entertainment industry for nearly twenty years, and has been assisting Red Square Audio since September of 2015.
Chad is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, composer, and performer who can be seen performing with his newly-formed group, Vardo.
